Kayleigh Clark wakes up every morning at 5 a.m. to help her daddy feed and water the more than 100,000 chickens on their farm, but she sings as she does it. The 20-year-old from Sumrall, MS, got her first guitar when she was 10 and that's when her love affair with music began.
"My uncle has a band," Kayleigh says. "He has played all around Mississippi, and I would get up on stage with him. That's how I got my start. My dad plays the guitar, and he bought me my first guitar when I was 10. I started playing and started writing and then the older I got, I used it as an escape to get away from everything that was going on at home."
What was going on at home was her father's drinking, which dominated his life and made him unable to show up for his family. But he's three years sober now and was at The Voice with his daughter.

"It's very hard seeing somebody that you love struggle with addiction but I would go through all that again to get the man that he is now," Kayleigh says. "This is one of the biggest things of my career [and he gets] to be here and experience it with me, so it means a lot."
Kayleigh took The Voice stage, singing "Stay" by Sugarland for her Blind Audition. It earned her a four-chair turn.
"Absolutely incredible," Reba McEntire told Kayleigh. "I loved your song choice. You sang it beautifully and I would love to have you on my team as a fellow country singer. You did a wonderful job and I'm very proud of you."
Maybe Reba didn't say more because she felt she was a shoe-in being the country queen and all.

Then it was Michael Bublé's turn to pay court to Kayleigh's talent. He said, "I had to turn. I could literally see the goosebumps on Niall Horan's arms from where I was sitting. I love country music dearly. I love it so much that I've been telling Reba I'm going to go to Nashville and make my own country record. I know it sounds weird. Anyway, I'd love for you to consider me even though you have literally the queen, the greatest of all time."
Next up was Snoop Dogg, who tried to get Brownie points for his early recognition of her talent. He pointed out, "Kayleigh, I'm not one to count, but I think I was first. A friend of mine named Ricky Bobby says, 'either you're first or you're last.'"
Kayleigh connected with that, saying, "That is exactly what my daddy tells me all the time."
Snoop continued, "Taking a chance with me would be something different. I will give you the room to grow and I will also assist you and coach you and give you information to help you become the artist that you are."
Finally, it was Niall's time to try to sweet talk Kayleigh on to his team.
"I just had to turn based off the goosebumps," he said, following up on Michael's comment. "You have one of those really unique voices, kind of like in a Carrie Underwood-style and it really pierced through. I can guarantee I don't even have to ask you if you write songs. I can always tell by someone that knows how to portray a feeling, so I would love to work with you."
Then there was some silliness with Kayleigh's mom and dad and the coaches, during which Michael said, "What a cool moment for you to get to watch your kid that you love more than anybody will ever know. It makes me emotional. I've got four beautiful kids and I can't even imagine how I'd feel. I am so happy for you guys."

Then Reba asked the $64,000 Question: Who would you like as your coach?
And the answer, which seemed obvious, took a twist when Kayleigh responded, "Miss Reba, I love you so much. I have looked up to you for my whole entire life, but I think I'm going to have to go with Niall."
"There is a chance I could become a country coach," Niall reacted. "Who would have thought? It's happening. Four-chair champion is well and truly back. Kayleigh is one of those just undeniable voices. It's so clean; it's so pure. I stole a country music artist off the queen of country. I don't know how it happened, but I'm so glad she's on Team Niall."
Niall may not have understood it, but Kayleigh knew exactly what she was doing. She explained, "I picked Niall because a lot of country people are going to go with Reba, and he can teach me how to put even more soul into the music that I sing."
"When Kayleigh chose Niall, I was shocked," Reba said. "Nobody is staying with their genres. They're coming after the country artists because country artists do very well on The Voice. It's very smart. I gotta get my game up."
The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Streams next day on Peacock.
