Megan Thee Stallion and Jennifer Hudson don't actually look much alike, but they're totally used to being mistaken for each another.

As The Jennifer Hudson Show host explained when the rapper appeared on Friday's Halloween-themed episode, as she left the Super Bowl, fans called out, "Megan!"

"And I turned around," Hudson recalled, "and I was like, 'Are y'all serious? You think I'm Megan?'"

The Dreamgirls star added, "But, I mean, if i'm going to look like anybody, I mean..." as she gestured to her guest.

Megan, whose real name is Megan Pete, had her own story of being mistaken for the EGOT winner.

"Remember that time we was in Italy for the Dolce thing?" she asked. "Jennifer's security kept snatchin' me up! They was like, 'C'mon, c'mon, we gotta move, we gotta move.' I'm like, 'I'm not with you!'"

The "Savage" artist did her best to persuade Hudson's team.

"'It's not me, I'm not her, I promise!'" she told them. "'But I'll go with you if you really want me to.' Your security kept snatchin' me up, and I was like, 'Where is my security?'"

Hudson's protectors "wanted me to be her real bad that day," Megan said.

Hudson called the confusion "bizarre."

Later, Megan asked Hudson what she would do if she were her for a day, and Hudson stood up and warned that she would need to be picked up off the floor after doing some moves for which Megan is known.

The trick, she was told, is to use "the thighs and the ankles."

While they focused on other topics Friday, Megan has her one-year anniversary of having finally watched Sex and the City, the HBO series set in the same world as Hudson's 2008 movie of the same name, in October.

"I'm pissed. Nobody said, 'Megan, you should be watching Sex and the City. Girl, this for the culture. Watch it!'" Megan revealed on The Tonight Show. "I don't even know how I, like, stumbled upon it. I think I just kept seeing, like, pictures of [star] Sarah Jessica [Parker] looking pretty as f---. I started watching the show and I'm like, 'I cannot look away. I'm watching it while I'm working out, I'm watching it while I'm in glam, I'm watching it when I don't have nothing else to do, and I'm a busy girl. I'm, like, squeezing Sex and the City in there. And I'm, like, asking everybody, 'Have you seen Sex and the City?'"

She told host Jimmy Fallon that she hadn't yet watched the movies or sequel series And Just Like That.
