The White House's newly installed "Presidential Walk of Fame" appears to troll former President Joe Biden and resurface accusations he misused the autopen, which he has denied.
Black and white presidential portraits now hang along the colonnade near the Oval Office in gold frames. But instead of a photograph of Biden, there's a picture of an autopen, according to social media posts.
"🚨NEW AT THE WHITE HOUSE," one Sept. 24 post on X of President Donald Trump peering at the autopen picture shows.
Trump has long questioned Biden's mental ability. He has suggested without evidence that aides were signing documents for Biden while he was president by using the autopen.
But an autopen has long been permissible for presidential use, and Trump has said he uses it occasionally as well. So what is it?

What is an autopen? Autopen defined
An autopen is a device that mechanically replicates a signature. The Justice Department said in 2005 that autopens alone are permissible for a president's signature.
Shortly after taking office in January, Trump claimed that some of Biden's final-hour pardons were "void, vacant" because they were signed using an autopen. Biden had made some controversial moves to blanket pardon members of this family and other people he suspected would be targets of Trump's political retribution.
Does Trump use autopen?
Trump said in May he "almost never" uses the autopen, but still thinks it could be used for some letters.
Trump continues with investigations
After Biden shared his prostate cancer diagnosis in May, Trump expanded the unfounded accusations that the autopen was used without Biden's approval to other policies.
"I think the autopen is gonna become one of the great scandals of all time," Trump said at a May 30 Oval Office press conference, as clipped by Fox News. "Who signed these orders and proclamations and all of the different things that he signed that set our country so far back?"
Trump in June ordered an investigation by his White House counsel into autopen use during the Biden administration. The GOP-led House Oversight Committee also is investigating.
What did Biden sign with the autopen?
In a statement in response to Trump's order, Biden said he "made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations" during his presidency.
"Any suggestion that I didn't is ridiculous and false," Biden added. "This is nothing more than a distraction."
