Dolly Parton stunned fans on Sept. 28, when she took to social media to announce that her upcoming concerts in Las Vegas have to be postponed as she deals to with some health concerns.
The "Jolene" singer shared a statement with her fans on Instagram, starting by saying, "I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts."
She announced, "I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures," before slipping in a little joke about her history of plastic surgery procedures.
But Parton wanted to make it clear why she made this decision, telling fans, especially those who have tickets to the Las Vegas shows, "Given this, I will not be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you."
While she is dealing with her health issues, she stated that she can still "work on all my projects" from her home in Nashville, but "I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say."

But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding."
The 79-year-old's fans took the news well and shared overwhelming support in the comments.
"Take it slow 🫶🏻 you are so loved," wrote one fan, while others commented, "Glad Dolly is making her health first priority. I hope she makes a speedy and full recovery, from whatever her ailment is," and "Sending all loving and healing vibes to the one who loves and heals us all 🧡."
Someone else responded to Parton's news by saying, "Take care. You are our National Treasure."
Overall, fans were happy that Parton was prioritizing her health and wished her well in her recovery process.
Parton was scheduled to have six concerts in Las Vegas in December as a small residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. It was set to be her first time performing a multi-night engagement in Las Vegas since 1993.
