Taylor Frankie Paul used a famous scene from Friends to joke about how she is going to act when she becomes the season 22 lead of The Bachelorette

In the video, Paul re-enacted Joey (Matt LeBlanc) telling Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) that he was in love with her even though she wouldn't take him seriously

Her casting was first announced on Sept. 10, making her the first person to take the role without previously appearing on The Bachelor

Taylor Frankie Paul is teasing what she's going to be like on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 31, took to Instagram to poke fun at her nerves as she gears up to lead season 22 of the popular ABC dating show.

In a video posted on Thursday, Sept. 25, Paul recreated a scene of Friends where Joey (Matt LeBlanc) confesses his love to a confused Rachel (Jennifer Aniston).

"This is me looking for help if I was told this first few nights," the reality personality wrote over the screen.

"I think I'm falling in love with you," Joey says in the famous clip.

"What? Who are you talking to?" Rachel replies while Paul, who is holding a red rose, mouths along and looks around in disbelief.

When Joey repeats that he's "falling in love" several more times, Paul mimics Rachel's laugh when she assumes it is a joke.

She captioned the post: "I'm afraid of my own reactions, truly."

Fans in the comments expressed their excitement to see Paul take on the role of the Bachelorette, with one saying, "Finally a bachelorette with no filter lol this is gonna be the best season we've ever seen."

"i think this is going to be my favorite season 😂," wrote another.

Someone else admitted that Paul is the reason they'll be tuning in this season: "Well time for me to watch the bachelorette for the 1st time ever cause Taylor Frankie Paul is the Best!🌹"

Paul's casting was announced on Wednesday, Sept. 10, during an episode of Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast. The news came as a shock to many, as it marks the first time a Bachelorette was not a previous contestant on The Bachelor.

At the time, Paul said that it felt "surreal" to be named the lead, adding, "It has not hit me right now in this moment."

Three years ago, the mom of three made a TikTok playfully auditioning to be the next Bachelorette, but it was something that she said she always saw as "unattainable."

"I don't know if that got their attention ... It was mainly a joke to me ... Then we had a meeting," she recalled. "I still didn't believe it until I got the invitation, 'Will you be our Bachelorette?' Same reaction, shaking, pacing back and forth. There's no way, no way."

When it comes to the qualities she's looking for in a future partner, Paul said, "How you treat people is my no. 1."

"Down to things like, someone in passing by, your neighbor or your server," she explained. "Another big one is like, 'Does he have to be Mormon?' And the answer's no, he doesn't. I would be open to dating outside my religion and learning about new religions and trying them. That's something I always wanted to do."

Paul rose to fame as a #MomTok influencer on social media, rocking the community in June 2022 when she revealed that she and her husband, Tate Paul, were getting a divorce and further exposed an alleged soft-swinging scandal among her friends.

Hulu's The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which premiered in September 2024, followed the aftermath of Paul's marriage ending, the fallout of MomTok amid the "soft-swinging" revelation and Paul's relationship with boyfriend at the time Dakota Mortensen. Their complicated dynamic and her pregnancy with their first baby played out in the show's debut season, and the pair have since split.
