For the second time this season, Jalen Carter will be forking over a hefty fine. The Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle has been fined $11,593 for taunting in the Eagles' walk-off win over the Los Angeles Rams last week.

In the fourth quarter of Sunday's game, Carter blocked a field goal — one of two fourth-quarter field goal blocks by Philadelphia. The second-year DT then turned to the Rams' sideline and began speaking and gesturing to the other team, even as one of his Eagles teammates appears to try and stop him.

The amount matches that of a first offense for taunting, according to the NFL rule book. A second offense would cost Carter $17,389.

Philadelphia went on to win the game, 33-26, after the second blocked field goal in the final seconds led to a defensive touchdown.

Carter's taunting fine comes just two-and-a-half weeks after the tackle was fined for spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. The confrontation took place before the first snap of the Week 1 rivalry matchup, with Carter being quickly ejected from the game.

Carter lost $57,222 as a result of the incident — the equivalent of one week's salary for the second-year defender.

Carter said he had made "a mistake" after the game, but did not say whether he felt he was provoked. Video indicated that Prescott had spat on the ground in the direction of the Eagles prior to Carter's response.

The NFL has been cracking down on unsportsmanlike conduct this season, fining players for taunting calls and gestures. Last week, the league fined Travis Kelce for an inappropriate gesture while celebrating a catch, and fined New York Jets defensive end Will McDonald for imitating a grenade explosion during a celebration.
