Eric Trump and a sumo wrestler went toe-to-toe, and belly to collared shirt, during the businessman's recent trip to Japan, according to a post on his Instagram.

While in Tokyo over the Labor Day weekend, the son of President Donald Trump took on a Yokozuna, a title given to the highest-ranked grand champion in professional sumo wrestling.

Trump, 41, posted a video of the friendly sumo wrestling matches on Monday, Sept. 1, with the caption, "Not every day you get invited to sumo the legend, Yokozuna! Almost had him! A great honor!" The two dueled inside a dohyō, the circular area traditionally used for sumo wrestling bouts.

In the video of their initial match, Trump and the Yokozuna take their stance before the two embrace, and seconds later, the executive vice president of the Trump Organization is seen being bearhugged out of the middle of the dohyō by the sumo wrestler.

The video of Trump and the Yokozuna's second match shows the sumo wrestler toying with the businessman before swinging him around a couple of times like a helicopter rotor. Trump's post also includes a group photo of him surrounded by the Yokozuna he dueled and other sumo wrestlers.

Why was Eric Trump in Tokyo?

Trump was in Tokyo to support the Japanese bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet, Reuters reported. He was named as an adviser to Metaplanet in March.

Metaplant holds more than $2 billion in bitcoin, and Trump's attendance at the company's shareholders' meeting comes after an appearance he made last week at the Bitcoin Asia conference in Hong Kong.

The meeting was for the approval of a plan that would allow Metaplant to sell up to 550 million new shares overseas for 130.3 billion yen ($884.41 million). The majority of the proceeds are intended to be spent on buying more bitcoin.

Trump's involvement in crypto comes after his father, President Donald Trump, promised to be the "crypto president." The president has touted crypto, saying it can improve the banking system and increase the dominance of the U.S. dollar.
