Trevor Goodall founded New Life, a charity that raises funds for special care baby units, after his twin babies died
New Life has raised nearly $2.7 million for their cause
"If I can help even one family not go through what I went through, then that's a big help," the father told the BBC
Thirty years ago, Trevor Goodall's "little boys entered this world," but soon after, his twin sons died due to being born three months prematurely.
Since 1995, when Trevor's twins Joshua and Samuel died in England, the Marlborough father has dedicated his life to raising funds to donate to special care baby units throughout the country.
After launching the New Life charity to honor his late babies, the foundation has raised more than £2 million (or nearly $2.7 million), according to the BBC, which recently interviewed the father after he was nominated for the BBC's Make a Difference Awards.
"They gave me the spirit to keep going. And I'll never stop wanting to do wonderful things for others in their name," the dad told the outlet. "To have reached this milestone is unbelievable — it's just fantastic."

In a recent Instagram post marking the 30th anniversary of the twins' death, New Life shared photos of Joshua and Samuel and their joint gravestone engraved with, "Together Forever."
The caption of that post shouted out the father and New Life founder.
"@trevnewlife19 you are a hero and this weekend we celebrate everything that has been achieved 🙌🏼," the caption of the June 19 post read in part. "The charity has now raised over £2 MILLION pounds to date, which has since changed so many little lives 👶🏼."

"It is this charity that inspired our founder and many others to make a difference 🙌🏼. What a proud moment whilst we remember these little lives 🌍. What a legacy for two little boys 💙 🩵," the caption concluded.
The BBC reported that £800,000 (or nearly $1.1 million) has been donated to Great Western Hospital (formerly known as the Princess Margaret Hospital), where the twins were born in Swindon three decades ago.
Among the items bought for that hospital and other facilities across the U.K., the outlet listed, are incubators, ventilators, respirators, breast pumps and other neonatal equipment. An infant feeding room was also installed in the Great Western Hospital's children's emergency unit.
"If I can help even one family not go through what I went through, then that's a big help," Trevor said of his commitment to helping other families.
