Wide receiver Jurrion Dickey was suspended by Oregon coach Dan Lanning, who felt it was good for the two sides to experience some time apart.

Lanning also intimated the break could become more permanent if Dickey believes that's his best path forward.

Dickey, a five-star recruit entering his redshirt junior season, has two receptions for 14 yards in 15 career games with the Ducks.

"Jurrion is indefinitely suspended with us right now," head coach Dan Lanning said. "We've got two team rules, right? And that's be respectful, be on time. There's some pieces of that where I felt like he needed a break from us and we needed a break from that so we could focus on what's in front of us right now. Wishing him nothing but the best as far as success and want to see him get back to where he can be a contributor for somewhere. That might be here, that might be somewhere else but won't spend any more time on that."

Oregon still listed Dickey on its team roster and unofficial depth chart as of Wednesday morning.

Dickey, 20, caught one pass for seven yards in each of his first two seasons (2023, 2024). He played in only five games as a freshman to qualify for a redshirt.

Oregon is dealing with uncertainty at multiple skill positions and the wide receiver group already was trying to replace quarterback Dillon Gabriel and his top two receivers, current NFL wideouts Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden. Johnson was drafted in the seventh round by the Buccaneers.

Holden is in training camp with the Dallas Cowboys, who signed the former Alabama and Oregon receiver as an undrafted free agent.

Senior Evan Stewart, who caught 48 passes for 613 yards and five touchdowns in 2024, suffered a torn patellar tendon in spring practice and could miss the 2025 season.

A consensus top-10 wide receiver recruit and No. 2 at 247Sports, Dickey compiled 140 receptions, 2,537 receiving yards and 42 total touchdowns (37 TD catches) in high school despite an injury as a senior.
