Allen sustained the injury while setting an off-ball screen just past half-court with the Cavs trailing the visiting Thunder by 19 points. When Jared McCain tried to get over the screen, the Oklahoma City guard's right knee collided with Allen's right knee, which appeared to jam as he stood rooted to his spot on the floor:

The 11th-year veteran fell to the deck in evident pain, grabbing for that right knee. He laid on the floor for a moment as teammate Mario Hezonja put back an offensive rebound, then raised one finger in the air to signal for a substitution.

After Cavs guard Sam Merrill committed a foul to stop the action, Allen slowly got to his feet and walked gingerly back to the home locker room. Shortly thereafter, Cleveland announced that he was doubtful to return to the contest with a right knee injury.

Allen, 28, has been Cleveland's starting center since joining the team in a trade midway through the 2020-21 season. A one-time All-Star, he's averaging 15.1 points on 63.1% shooting to go with a team-high 8.7 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.4 assists in 27.9 minutes per game for the Cavs, who entered Wednesday's action at 4-3, tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
