WATCH HILL, R.I. — The rumors may be terrible and cruel, but whispers are growing thatTaylor SwiftandTravis Kelcemay be planning a wedding at the Ocean House resort.
Perched above the Atlantic in Swift's adopted seaside enclave, the grand Victorian-style hotel is just a stone's throw fromSwift's Watch Hill mansion.
Ocean House offers the kind of privacy and is one of only 14 hotels worldwide to earn the rare Forbes triple Five-Star distinction.
During a tour in September, Ocean House group director of sales and marketing Stephanie Leavitt highlighted the property's deep roots. The hotel, rebuilt from its 1886 original, preserved more than 5,000 artifacts, including restored fireplaces, crown molding and historic fixtures.
"This was really the original Grande Dame in Watch Hill," Leavitt said. "Many families have summered here since the 1800s, and we preserved more than 5,000 artifacts from the original building to honor that history."
Leavitt showcased fine dining at Coast, the Secret Garden cocktail patio, sprawling event lawns, a private beach with cabanas and a robust culinary program offering daily classes and tastings.
