Sorority Goes Viral With 'Survivor' Inspired Work Week Theme: 'The Sisters Have Spoken' originally appeared on Parade.
It is safe to say that the members of Alpha Chi Omega at University of North Carolina Wilmington are major Survivor fans.
For those who are unfamiliar with the ins and outs of Greek life, ahead of primary recruitment — which typically occurs in the fall, taking place before the first day of classes — Panhellenic sororities gather for an event called "Work Week."
During "Work Week" — which typically takes place over several days — members prepare for primary recruitment alongside their sorority sisters, all while dressing up, taking photos, making TikTok videos and more to promote the chapter.
While the dress up themes are often simple like "Western" or "Space," AXO at UNC Wilmington went a different route this year, creating a theme inspired by CBS' Emmy Award-winning competition series: Survivor.
"Tribal Council has spoken…WE ARE READY FOR RECRUITMENT!!! 🩵🏝️🗺️" the chapter captioned a video on the sorority's official TikTok account.
In said video, the members are seen dancing to "Rock That Body" by the Black Eyed Peas, doing the choreo that was recently made famous by the 2025 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Talk about a reality TV crossover!
While many sororities have utilized the viral DCC choreo for their "Work Week" content, the outfits are what made AXO at UNC Wilmington's TikTok video so unique.
While a majority of the women are seen rocking buffs, some members went so far as to dress as host Jeff Probst. In the back, one is even dressed in the iconic "I Love Rob" shirt that Amber Brkich wore during the live finale of Survivor: All-Stars, where she took home the title of "Sole Survivor and the million-dollar prize AND got proposed to by "Boston" Rob Mariano. How iconic is that?
Naturally, fans had a field day in the comment section of the post, with one viewer writing, "I'd join a sorority just for this theme," and another viewer adding, "Now this is a sorority I would rush."
"The 'I ❤️ Rob' girl is the star of the show, put her front and center she knows ball," a third commented.
Survivor's official TikTok account even got a piece of all the action — writing "The sisters have spoken 😌😌😌" in the comment section of the post — as well as former castaways. "Finally a theme worth playing for," Survivor 43 finalist Owen Knight joked.
You may stream all seasons of Survivor via Paramount Plus now, and you may keep up with all things AXO at UNC Wilmington by connecting with the chapter via Instagram and TikTok: @uncwaxo and @uncwaxo.
