In the wake of TikTok chatter that Beyoncé's new music "Texas Hold 'Em" sounds eerily just like an iconic youngsters's collection theme music, the show's composer has weighed in on the matter.
Bruce Cockburn, who wrote the theme music for beloved Canadian animated collection Franklin, has spoken out after a wave of movies in contrast Beyoncé's new No. 1 single to his youngsters' creation.
"I feel Beyoncé's 'Texas Hold 'Em' is an effective document," Cockburn told People in an interview revealed Wednesday, February 28. "Sadly I can't claim to have had any half in writing it."
Still, Cockburn wasn't completely resistant to hearing the place individuals have been coming from.

"The rhythmic really feel is just like my theme music for the Franklin TV collection," he admitted, "but to my ears that's where the similarity stops. 'Texas Maintain 'Em' is her music, and I want her success with it!"
Thus far, so good for Beyoncé, as the country-inspired monitor climbed to prime spot on the Billboard Scorching 100 on Monday, February 26, within the track's second week on the chart.
The music's success could be attributed largely to viral dances and interpretations on TikTok, which is where the Franklin comparisons picked up steam.
"Somebody stated new Beyoncé sounded like the Franklin theme music," common TikToker Taylor Roche wrote, "so I went aight guess & made this."
The video, which overlays both songs to point out their similarities, has been seen greater than 500,000 occasions.
One other TikTok consumer posted a video of herself listening to "Texas Hold 'Em" captioned, "Pov: you're a Canadian making an attempt to determine why Beyoncé's new music sounds so acquainted."
After figuring issues out, she then posted a picture of Franklin the turtle, writing, "realizing that it was literally the sound of your childhood." (Franklin aired for six seasons from 1997 to 2004.)
