Wegmans has recalled four cheeses due to potential Listeria contamination.

The products were sold in 10 states and Washington, D.C. between July 1 and Aug. 12.

No illnesses have been reported, but the bacteria can be deadly for vulnerable groups.

Wegmans shoppers might want to give their cheese drawer a once-over. The grocery chain is pulling several products from shelves after learning they could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a dangerous bacteria that can cause serious illness.

The recall includes the Wegmans Medium Camembert Soft Ripened Cheese, Wegmans Assorted Cheese Flight, Wegmans Grilling Camembert with Tapenade & Roasted Tomatoes, and Wegmans Caramel Apple Pecan Topped Brie Cheese.

According to the FDA, these cheeses were sold between July 1 and Aug. 12 in Wegmans locations across Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

The supplier, Estancia Holdings of Cumming, Georgia, initiated the recall after being alerted by its French supplier that certain shipments may be contaminated. So far, no illnesses have been reported—but anyone who bought the affected cheeses should take the warning seriously.

The CDC says Listeria infection—also called listeriosis—is uncommon in healthy adults, but it can be dangerous and even life-threatening for certain groups. Pregnant people, newborns, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems are at the highest risk. Each year, the bacteria is responsible for an estimated 1,600 infections and 260 deaths in the U.S. Symptoms can include fever, headache, and diarrhea, but in severe cases it can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth, or other life-threatening complications.

Wegmans says it has already reached out to customers who bought the recalled products using its Shoppers Club loyalty program. If you have any of these cheeses at home, don't eat them—bring them back to the store's service desk for a full refund. For questions, you can call Wegmans Food Markets at 1-855-934-3663 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

If you're cleaning out your fridge, it's also recommended to wipe down any surfaces the cheese may have touched, as Listeria can survive and spread in cold environments.

Bottom line: If these cheeses are in your fridge, they shouldn't be on your plate.
