It's a new season for Chapel Hart members, sisters Danica and Debynn Hart and first cousin Trea Swindle, as the family-focused female country trio just revealed they will be "pressing pause" on their group to explore new creative musical paths.
The group, known for "You Can Have Him Jolene" — a clever twist on Dolly Parton's 1973 country classic "Jolene" — announced the heartbreaking split on Instagram on Monday (Aug. 25), sharing a photo of themselves, alongside a statement that had them promising "This is not a goodbye."

"Over the last few years, Chapel Hart has taken us places we never could have imagined," the post reads. "We have laughed, cried, grown, and stood on stages we used to dream about. More than anything, we have shared a bond that goes deeper than music, and that part will always remain."
"As we each step into new seasons in life, we have decided to press pause on Chapel Hart so we can explore other passions and dreams that have been calling to us individually," the caption continued. "This is not a goodbye. It is a celebration of everything we have built and a step toward everything still to come."
What Do They Plan To Do Next?
Chapel Hart went on to say that the music will continue in different ways, with Danica planning to potentially pursue a solo career and Devynn and Swindle forming a new female duo called Magnolia Rising. In their post, Chapel Hart did not indicate whether the new ventures will stay within the country lane or go outside the genre.
"We kindly ask for the same love and support as we each walk our different paths. You can find Danica sharing her journey at @thedanicahart while Dev and Trea begin their next chapter at @magnoliarisingofficial," Chapel Hart wrote, adding, "Thank you for being part of this incredible ride. The Chapel Hart story will always be a beautiful part of our lives, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for each of us."
The News Comes After Danica's Claims of Being 'Pushed Out' of the Band and Alleged 'Physical Violence and Abuse.'
According to The Music Universe, Billboard and various other media reports, tension had been growing behind the scenes for weeks. In a since-deleted July post on Facebook, per the outlet, Danica wrote: "Over the past several months, I have remained silent, but I can no longer stay quiet about what has happened," Danica said. "I am being pushed out of my band and my company, and throughout this time, I and other members of our team have been subjected to physical violence and abuse. I am at the point of breaking."
Danica continued, "I received a message tonight stating that if I didn't sign a document typed up by Jeff Glixman, Trea Swindle, and Devynn Hart, saying that if I didn't sign it by 12 a.m., they would be continuing their career in Chapel Hart without me! And my question is how???"
Will Chapel Hart Finish Their Current Tour?
Despite stepping away for the time being, Chapel Hart will finish touring the remainder of their scheduled live performances, which include four dates running through Oct. 25, according to the band's website.
"We want to celebrate the community we've built together, so as we finish playing our scheduled shows for the rest of the season, we hope that we get to see each and every one of you on the road!!" The band captioned the post. "We love and thank you for being a part of the congregation, and we look forward to your continued support."
