A Chicago Cubs fan took "work from home" to a whole new level Tuesday, bringing a full laptop and mouse setup to Wrigley Field during the team's day game doubleheader against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Cubs fan was caught working on his laptop during the bottom of the 7th inning by the team's Marquee Sports Network camera crew, who zoomed in on the fan, who had his head down and was using the empty bleacher seat next to him as a mouse pad.

Cameras continued to cut back to the fan throughout the bottom half of the inning as Cubs broadcast announcers Jon Sciambi and Jim Deshaies kept laughing about the scenario.

"How badly did you want it? Did you bring your mouse? You better bring your mouse!" Sciambi cracked, as a "Fan of the Game" graphic popped up on the screen.

"There's only one question: Is this guy doing work? Or, my other thought is, he's going over a fantasy football draft," Sciambi theorized.

Deshaies then offered the fan an excuse, noting how Monday night's Cubs game against the Brewers had been rained out, leading the league to schedule a doubleheader for Tuesday during the work day.

"You know, he could be working," Deshaies, a former MLB pitcher, told Sciambi. "This is the make-up game, right?"

As the inning ended, cameras caught the fan realizing he had been spotted at the game when a friend next to him showed him his phone. The two burst out laughing at the situation, but it still didn't cause him to close the laptop.

When the broadcast cut back from commercial at the top half of the 8th inning, Sciambi continued to make light of the fan's extreme remote work setup.

"That guy on the left just found out that he's been fired," Sciambi joked, while the two fans continued laughing at their phones and waving to the camera. "Part of his severance package is he gets to stay for Game 2."

Others on social media defended the Cubs fan's setup after MLB tweeted out a clip of the incident.

"If the work gets done, who cares where you did it at," one fan said.
