The "new period" of Survivor rolls on, with season 46 set to premiere on Wednesday, February 28, and very similar to the earlier five seasons, it's going to function a completely new set of castaways.

Host and government producer Jeff Probst stated followers can anticipate that to stay the case, no less than by way of season 48.

Because the conclusion of Survivor: Winners at Conflict, the show's 40th season, the CBS hit present has not brought any gamers back to play a second time. The one attainable exception is Bruce Perreault, who was injured just minutes into season 44 and was given a second probability in 45.

Because the story factors out, if seasons 47 and 48 are, actually, both beginner seasons, will probably be the longest streak of seasons with out returnees since Survivor: All-Stars, the present's eighth season and the first to function former players.

If and when Survivor does determine the time is true to deliver players back, it's going to haven't any shortage of robust candidates from the brand new period. From fan favorites Jesse Lopez (Survivor 43) and Carolyn Wiger (Survivor 44) to polarizing gamers like Emily Flippen (Survivor 45) and Bruce (Survivor 44 and 45), the show already has enough to construct a brand new period All-Star forged. And that's not even including the beloved Maryanne Oketch (Survivor 42) and the breakout star Dee Valladares (Survivor 45), who each gained their seasons.

Not surprisingly, Probst credits the present's casting crew for hanging gold so many occasions in current seasons.

Toughest 'Survivor' Competitors of All Time

"I'm so proud of our casting staff," he stated. "I can't inform you how fun it is once I'm in a casting session and this new individual pops onto my display and I get to talk to them about their life. The group is discovering such fascinating individuals, and those individuals at the moment are being on the show and that influences individuals to apply."

Probst didn't, nevertheless, handle something past season 48, which leaves a proverbial elephant within the room. With season 50 not far behind, what might production probably have in retailer? Maybe an All-Star season of totally new era players or a New Era vs. Previous Era theme? The chances are infinite.
