Jamie Carragher has labelled Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite a 'special' expertise with Manchester United weighing up a summer transfer swoop.

'But I feel this lad [Branthwaite] has been fairly special and he's an enormous a part of why, in my eyes, Everton still have a fantastic probability of staying up; him and his partnership with [James] Tarkowski.'
