- A Woman Went 10 Years Thinking She Couldn't Have More Kids. Then Her Dream of Welcoming Triplets Came True</p>

<p>A woman welcomed identical triplet daughters in February, after going a decade believing she wouldn't be able to have more kids after her first due to fertility issues</p>
<p>Brittany Ingram said she "had a dream" she would become pregnant with triplets shortly before she learned she was expecting</p>
<p>"Just because it's not on your timing doesn't mean it's not ever going to happen," the woman said in an uplifting message</p>
<p>A woman's family grew — more than she ever expected — after going a decade believing it wasn't possible.</p>
<p>Brittany Ingram was diagnosed with endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), both of which can affect reproductive health, and even lead to infertility, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in 2015.</p>
<p>That same year, Brittany, now 36, underwent a laparoscopy to remove cysts, and she later became pregnant naturally. She and her husband, Josh Ingram, eventually welcomed their first child, a son named JB, according to Good Morning America.</p>
<p>Brittany and Josh still tried to expand their family in the years to follow, despite doctors telling the Deatsville, Ala., residents that Brittany would have to undergo more surgeries or utilize fertility treatments to do so.</p>
<p>"After JB, we tried again a few more times, and I had a miscarriage, and it just didn't work, and that was so heartbreaking," Brittany told GMA. "We were just kind of leaving it up to God, and saying, 'If it's meant to be, it'll be. If it's not, it won't.' So, after 10 years, we just thought JB was going to be our one and only [child]."</p>

<p>In August 2024, Brittany took a pregnancy test, which revealed she was expecting. She then went to her obstetrician to confirm she was indeed pregnant, and it was there that she learned she was expecting triplets.</p>
<p>Before her doctor confirmed she was expecting three babies, though, Brittany told GMA she had a dream that she would get pregnant with multiple kids.</p>
<p>"I had a dream we were having triplets. I woke up and told my husband … He said, 'Oh my gosh. What would we do? Don't dream stuff like that,' " Brittany said. "When we went to [get] the … ultrasound … [the doctor] said, 'There's three babies. I've never seen this before. We studied about it in school, but we've never seen three babies.' "</p>
<p>She added to GMA that she and Josh "were both just, like, excited, scared, and it took us a few days to process it. None of our family believed us when we came home and told them."</p>

<p>At 19 weeks, Brittany told the publication that doctors put her on bed rest, and then at 22 weeks, she went into early labor with her three babies.</p>
<p>Brittany underwent cerclage, a type of surgery where the cervix is sewn closed, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and she then gave birth to her kids at 30 weeks in February.</p>
<p>Brittany suffered various complications after giving birth to her triplets, GMA reported, including postpartum preeclampsia, cardiomyopathy and heart failure.</p>
<p>The triplets also went through their own health ordeals and had to stay in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for about two months.</p>
<p>Now, with everyone together, Brittany told GMA that she, her husband, their eldest child and the three newborns are adjusting to their lives as a family of six.</p>
<p>Brittany and Josh's identical triplet daughters — Emersyn Claire, Adalyn Renae and Layla Michele — are "perfectly healthy," according to the family's pediatrician.</p>

<p>Hoping to inspire other families struggling with infertility, Brittany told GMA she hopes her story will resonate.</p>
<p>"Don't give up. There's always hope," the stay-at-home mother told the publication in an uplifting message.</p>
<p>Added Brittany: "Just because it's not on your timing doesn't mean it's not ever going to happen."</p>
